Susanne Lippert - Biography

Susanne Lippert (Born Berlin 06.08.63) has worked in the field of Landscape Architecture for thirty years. Since 1998 she has been a member of the Architektenkammer, Berlin-Brandenburg.

Following her Abitur (Kant Gymnasium, Berlin, graduated 1982) she was an intern on three month assignment in 1983 with the firm Sünder, a landscape gardening company in Berlin. The firm subsequently invited her to commence a formal training as a Landscape Gardener. During this time she gained a comprehensive experience of physically working on building sites and developed a wide range of practical and theoretical skills. She completed her formal training in 1984 - a year in advance of schedule - due to the positive joint assessment of her abilities by her Training College and Employer.

From 1985 - 1987 Ms Lippert worked with the firm Pluta (Berlin), a specialist in Landscaped Roofs, as a Foreman. Here she was given the the opportunity to substantially develop both her practical skills and also as a leader of small teams (c 5).

In 1987 she co-founded LiFa Garten Design in Berlin and managed a series of projects predominantly specialising in paving and stonework. Projects ranged from private house gardens to street building and parking places. Ms Lippert also commenced her studies at the THF University Berlin in September 1987.

In 1992 she received her Engineering Diploma (Landespflege) from THF Berlin. Ms Lippert worked with Professor Neumann, the Dean of THF University Berlin, and after three months she was appointed Project Manager with responsibility responsibility for 36 simultaneous building projects in the Berlin area with a total capital value of DM174 million.

In 1994 Ms Lippert set up her own practice. As a Landscape Architect she has been responsible for a substantial body of work in the Berlin Brandenburg area. Her projects can be viewed in more detail on the Projects section of this site.
